Default Couple questions for you guys

Hey guys.

I recently purchased a '99 SS. Car has low miles, 48k. Runs perfect. Very strong.

I will soon be buying pacesetter LT's and a TSP true dual kit. This, all together, should run me less than $1000.

I also want to put 3:73 gears in. That will run me around $250.

What would I be running after these mods?

Also, I will have about $1000 more to spend. I was thinking of buying a yank ss3600 converter. Maybe something else instead? Any suggestions will be great.

I'm sure this question has been asked before, but please work with me. I did try and search but I'm as confused as ever.

Thanks for all the help guys.

The converter plus some decent tires should easily put you in the high 12s, depending on your driving skill. I'd also do some smaller mods like an SLP lid, underdrive pulley, etc.

I would get a lid if it doesn't have it already. I would also do Sub frame connectors, and new shocks if it is your DD. Another way to spend a grand is a good nitrous system or FAST intake/TB. I don't know if you are a show or go kinda guy, but save some money for a good set of rims/wheels or a kit to lower it. These cars look like *** riding so high sometimes.

I will also be buying an underdrive pulley. I believe the car already has a lid. If not, I will cut out the baffles for now.

I was thinking that should get me into the mid 12's..maybe not?

You won't feel the pulley. Save it for the cam swap you will eventually want haha. You will for sure feel that torque convertor though Yank hits like a beast
