Default When to tune??

Mods are in my sig, i also want to get myself a Ported TB (i know just a few hp but i want to get it powdercoated red as well) and a custom cme exhaust with a Loudmouth 2 muffler. Stock system isnt loud enough for me...

Now my question really is, im thinking about a thermostat & ud pulley as well. Would it be worth waiting and getting these 2, then a tune?? or just get my exhaust & ported tb and tune???

I do no plan on getting a CAM or anything else for the engine anytime soon. I want to do suspension mods after the mods ive listed above.

I would wait until I get everything and then tune. But at the end of the day its your decision

A tune is required when the airflow into the engine is increased. Things like an under drive pulley do not warrant a tune. The thermostat will, as you will be able to take advantage of cooler operating temps. A ported throttle body and exhaust will warrant a tune.

Wait until you get the rest of those little engine mods. No reason to tune your car twice.

I bought HP tuners and a new lap top after I put my motor in thinking i needed a tune, but I really didn't. It's basically all stock except headers and a couple of other things (listed in my sig). All I can do with it right now is turn off the SES light for things like my EGR and rear O2's and mess with my timing and AFR which I don't really want to mess with too much.

You could get some tuning software such as HPTuners or efilive and do it as you go.

Well... you are not taking full advantage of everything right now unless you tuned it. But, for money's sake, it runs good enough until you get all your parts on the car.

Well im not to concerned with getting a tune for the car more then once. I dont plan on a Heads & Cam, Nitrous or anything until sometime next year. As i mentioned this year, i wanna do most of my suspension and wheels. So until then, it will be nice to get the most out of the car for the time being.

Wait until you get everything. Cheaper than getting it done over and over and its smarter.
