To some people drag racing in general is 'redneck.' Drag racing an LSX car isn't anymore redneck than any other car, it's actually smart. Why try to drag race some **** like a Honda when you can start off with a good motor platform.
I actually voted yes, just because all I know are import guys, and they all think the LSX cars are redneck. I'm Puerto Rican/Dominican lol.

Seems to me that most rednecks opinion is "man you need to take all that computer and junk off and throw on a big ole 750 double pumper Holley you be whoppin everybody then" So in my opinion if your running a LSX then you probably have more since than your average redneck. Most of the guys with civics are full of crap and think a cold air intake and fart can make them fast along with a few stickers their like lightening.

Truthfully, I'm thinking drag racing anything (imports, domestics, bikes, snowmobiles, etc) is redneck. Somehow NASCAR was able to climb out of the "redneck" category and straddle the mainstream. Other than the big NHRA events, even the drag crowd at Infineon (in/near the wine capitol of the US) on any given Wednesday night has "mullet-ish" odor. lol
Has never stopped me from loving it though...I'll run anything on the 1/4-mile track and have the biggest SEG the entire time. Long live drag racing!

I say hellz no. Based on the fact that most lsx cars cost anywhere from 6-15k and I don't know very many rednecks that can pay for a car that cost that much while paying their lot fees, smokin used cigs, stealin drinks, buyin cat food, all while living off a stolen change salary.

It looks like some people feel like their toes are being stepped on, if so, take a step back and just read the poll for what it is, it isn't targeted at anybody. The general public consensus is drag racing is on the fence about being redneck, some of it is, some isn't. It was simply a question of which side of the fence people feel LSX's belong, so if it does bother you don't get your overalls all twisted.
Actually it was just a general question, I'm English so I don't think I count as a redneck? Lol.

Being a redneck is based on a scale. On a scale of 100, 100 being a total redneck hick, 0 being an orthodox Jew, drag racing gets you only 10 points.
Dipping is 75 points, smoking is 10 points, dipping and smoking is 100 points, mullet is 75 points, listening to 80's hair bands is 25 points, living in a trailer is 50 points, and a beat to **** fbody is also 75 points. Drag racing a beat to **** pickup truck earns you an instant 100 points.
Combine any of those things and you are definetly a redneck.

its funny reading some of these posts. It REALLY tells you how SUBJECTIVE and stereotypical you really are.....im black btw. Redneck???...no.....the only disagreement i could see here depends on where your racing....im stationed in ARKANSAS sooo yea i see alot of what some of you call "redneck". Ive also done some racing in florida and myrtle beach. Nothing close to redneck about it....YOU make the car, the car doesnt make YOU.
