I voted yes, I guess the anwser depends on what kind of people you see at the drag strip, rednecks mostly, I dont know. Im just talking drag racing in general. I would love to get into road racing, but track days are expensive. I love apexes.

if you are a car guy some people think your a redneck.
if you like to watch racing or participate in racing some people think your a redneck.
when i'm not driving my car it's in front of the trailer on concrete blocks
i have to bring the tires and wheels inside and stack them in the kitchen.
that way nobody steals them. i keep my three legged dog chained to it so
nobobdy steals the stereo. the trailer park draws a rough crowd with all the meth
labs. but i can not take chances with $35,000 in this car. wifey got pissed and left
me. we got a divorce i still don't completly understand the divorce laws.
so i divorced my wife is she still my sister? if jeff foxworthy is a member here
maybe he can chime in and help me out.

For instance, I'm a redneck. I drive trucks through the mud, and my Camaro too on occasion. I love American muscle, Ford, Dodge or Chevy. I have four horses. I love wild women and wild times. I love sitting around the campfire at night. I dip and chew and smoke cheap cigars. I wear Wranglers and Justins and hats fit for Toby Keith. I hunt. I have more guns than Fort Knox. I love the US of A. I love my president, both past and present. I box and wrestle in my garage, and when it comes time to pull the Camaro in, we move the mats. I go to church on Sunday, and have dinner with the family every night. I'm from Southern Illinois, but sound like I'm from the deep South. I'm a volunteer firefighter because I feel it's my duty to my community as an able-bodied young man. Most of my friends are farmers, good men all of them, and they own more ground than you. You know what? When you need help, they're there. The ones that aren't farmers work in the oil field. They're hard as iron, tough as nails, and I've never seen any of them clean. Ever.
So, I'm a redneck, and I drag race. It's what we do. Normally, there's corn fields on both sides of us, a woman in the middle, and four county telephone poles to the finish line. That's how we do things in the country.

I think it's redneck, but to me, redneck is good.

Oh, and redneck, is the guy from my town sayin "My t-ruck can whip your car in a race......through mud." I kinda have to give him a stupid look when someone makes a comment like that.
And yes, I've had a mud truck before. Got tired of replacing trannys and transfer cases. Now it's just trannys. Oh happy day.

i voted no because, from the general concenus, i don't drive a third gen with a feathered mullet, blasting van hagar/white snake while ******* my sister. so no i don't think drag racing lsx cars is redneck.

I voted yes because.........well.......I AM a big redneck.
Although, not a bigot......and I don't want to hump my sister.........and don't drink.........but I do go through over a can of Cope everyday, drive a 4x4, talk with a heavy drawl, wear a cowboy hat, say things like "fixin to", listen to country music, etc...
I get a giggle when I see other white folk get upset over the term "redneck". Heck, you don't have to be white to be a redneck. Many of my black friends are "redneck" and I even had a vietnamese friend several years ago who was a bigger redneck than most white folk.

Everybody that hates on f-bodies and says **** about camaro drivers having mullets are just mad because they have most likely been raped by one or dont know anything about cars except what they hear.
I have owned 4 f-bodies, and love drag racing but I also graduated college with a 4.0 GPA and NEVER had a mullet so people can say what they want.

WTF? What kind of a question is that? I could see asking about a third gen camaro or something, but nothing about a GTO or a G8 or a Corvette and IMO even Camaros and T/As is redneck.
