Default what would you get???

Well guys here is the deal.

I have a '99 Camaro SS. Only current mods are lid and p/p tb. Tomorow, I will be recieving pacesetter LT's, TSP y, and SLP LM2 CB via UPS.

I am selling one of my vehicles. It is listed right now. I will be getting around $2500 for it.

After the exhaust is on what should I buy with that $2500?

Catch is, I am in the navy and there is a good chance I will be in California at this time next year. So everything must be emissions legal..

What do you guys think?

I am thinking of getting this package with either a 220/200 or 224r cam. Would both of those be fine with california smog?

I woould then in addition buy a SLP ls6 intake with egr provisions.

I am open to suggestions guys.

Thanks alot.

I don't live in Cali, nor would I ever live in a automive restrictive state like that, but I thought LT's are illegal since they move your cats from the factory position? From what I always read, you can run shorties. Correct me if I'm wrong.

No sir, you are not wrong. LT's are illegal. But there are ways to get around that..

And if I can not get around it, shorties will replace the LT's

Not sure in Cali, but here in Ohio I got collector plates which makes me e-check and inspection exempt. May be able to try that in your state...

ooh good idea with the collector plates. good 'ol Indiana, no inspections no nothing. can run around cammed, catless, dumped exhaust all year and not have to worry about anything.

yeah I'd spend the money on a good H/C setup that wont get you hit on the inspections
