Default Swapped an Ls1 into a v6 firebird....What to call it?

I know this is stupid because they are all FIREBIRDS no matter how u look at it. But I just wanted to see what you guys thought, I have a 98 v6 bird that I swapped an ls1 into. I want to get some stainless badges from Dragonz28 when he can sell them and I dont know what to call the car.

I mean I know its not really a true trans am according to the vin # but it has the motor, and all the appearance stuff.

Ill prob just leave it at firebird but Id like to know your thoughts. Id never do ws6 or anything liek that cuz its not.

yea id say formula, unless you changed the front bumper, you still have a slight difference from a trans/am even if you changed the hood/spoiler.

If it were me I'd work on doing a full WS6 conversion. Once you're done the only thing that could distinguish it as a V6 is the VIN. I imagine it can't be too tough; nose, hood, hatch, rear bumper, badges. Sell off the V6 stuff to help make up the cost. Profit.

Well it has the v6 front bumper cuz I like it better, but i have the trans am side skirt/rear bumper/ and hatch.

I just have never been one to call a car something thats its not. Kinda like how ppl put SS on there z28 camaros. but I guess the Ws6 would be closer to that then a trans am

Firebird with an LS1? Why call it something it isn't? A Formula was a package option, if it doesn't have the RPO it isn't one.

^ actually the trans am is the package. a standard formula comes with nothing more than the standard firebird, besides the engine of course. at least im 80% sure of that.

i believe it came with some minor suspension changes from the v6 tho... I wont say anything for sure tho, cause i dont know anything about the differences in firebird/trans/am/ws6/formula aside from the obvious appearance differences.

Just call it a Firebird V8 duh.

Not many people know what a Formula is but they know what a trans am or firebird is.

Don't call it anything. Everyone knows it's a Firebird or something of that nature. I get people all the time calling my car a freakin camaro. I would leave all the badges off the car. Just put "ram air" or something on the hood. I personally don't like when people throw the trans am decals all over the car.

I think the best way to look at it is, a Formula is a Trans am with firbird bumpers/hatch. Underneath, the Formulas and TA are identical, suspension and all.

If im not mistaken, the V6s have different suspension, rear end, brakes, ect.

Just curious, how hard was it to swap? Was the original A4 or M5? Did you have like a donor car you could pull everything from? How much did it cost?
