Default LT1 to LS1 insurance difference

I'm just wondering if anyone has switched from an LT1 to an LS1 and how much their insurance went up. I'm just trying to get a feel for how much more it will be.

I was 19 when I sold my lt1 got my ls1 when I was 21 and insurance was $40 cheaper but I also have a daily driver car on the plan so I think a got a discount for having more than one car on the same plan. Either way being under 25 its still high

In case anyone else was wondering the difference for me between a 95 Firebird Formula and 02 Z28 is $25 a month. I'm only 18 though.

There will be no difference for liability. Full coverage will vary because the ls1 is worth more. Your driving record and credit makes a big impact on your insurance rates. I personally pay 160$ a month full coverage on my 02 Formula at 24 years old. My LT1 was only 50$ but that was for liability only. My GSXR750 is 90 a month for full coverage.

This is with state farm. Other places are MUCH higher for me.

for ***** and giggles, when i went with a new insurance company, i asked how much cheaper it would be for a 98 honda civic. The civic was actually $30 more a month because it didnt have drl's or abs brakes.

Im now paying $138/mon at 20yrs old. No collision, no comp, and paying the state minimum liability. No tickets, no accidents, took a defensive driver course (10% off), and still paying out the ***. gotta love long island, ny

Only comp and coll should cost more due to the LS1 being worth more.
