Ok, this is making me nuts

Well the guy with the ws6 knows they are the same, and the ss as well. The gto guy is still kinda stuck on factory ratings, but hopefully I can help him get away from that. I'm gonna take mine to the dyno after I get my full exhaust put on in 2 weeks. I'm shooting for 340whp, which would translate to about 420 at the crank and there is no way my bolt-ons are going to add 110hp at the crank. We will just have to see.

I've been friends with this guy for a long time, and he is one of my best friends, but I am just so fed up with having the same arguement, so I think i'm gonna stop and let my car do the talking for me.

Your friend is a idiot lol, I fricken dynoed 330 and all I have is a fricken exhaust with headers. I'm untunned and that was a mustang dyno.. oh and im at 1998 with the blah heads. If a stock fbody went against a stock ls2 gto he would beat you but not by much, if you were around say 330-350rwhp then you should take him but it wont be by much, maybe a car to 2 cars. They're not hard cars to beat though.

EVERYONE knows that a ws6 or SS hood adds like atleast 50hp
i dyno'ed 310hp-330tq to the wheels with just a cat back, please tell your friends to become members of LS1tech so they will no longer be "misinformed"

one time...i put an ss hood on a 6 banger and when i took off at a red light the car actually got airborn because of the added horse power!!! dont underestimate a visually pleasing hood over one with no scoop!!!

In reality all LS1's are the same regardless what vehicle they were installed in.
The Vettes have a better power to weight ratio vs an F-body so it's really a drivers race.

Like I said the Vettes have a slight weight advantage which evens out the possible differences in RWHP.
In a Dragrace between somewhat equal cars the more powerfull car is NOT always the winner. Experience has it's merits.

i understand that as well...i mean to breifly explain to someone that know very little about this sort of thing would it not just be easier to say our cars are at the least equal to vettes? without going into great detail....people as me how fast mine is and i think that would be an easy explanation...
