Default Why did my Z28 do this????

I have a 98 Z28 w/ 158k miles. It has never given me any signs of problems since I bought it in July,
Today I went to pass this car and when I went to floor it, it didn't do anything. It basically was like your sitting in the driveway with the car off and you floor it, no sounds, no revving, no bang, no nothing. Then after 15-20 sec of nothing all the gauges fell to the left and it died. I then put her in Neutral and cranked her right up and drove the rest of the way home. She drove perfect......
What could it be? I am pretty sure the fuel pump is stock....I'm clueless......Thanks for ya'lls help

a buddy also said a hickup in the comp......

Now, my computer is a 98 came factory with the car, my engine on the otherhand came out of a 99 T/A. I do have a tune on this comp, but that tune was with my old stock motor. Never tuned the new motor with the 98 comp......

Sounds like a ground wire, battery, alt, tps, ecu power, actually this is just like any car problem it is not always easy or only one possible thing.

Good luck
