Question E-Cutout or Shift Light

IDk what do do, so i figured id's ask for some opinions:

I'm looking at either buying an e-cutout or a stealth shift light but i'm not sure which one to get.

E-Cutout - that car origionally came with the SLP D/D which i took off 2 yrs ago for the Magnaflow b/c the D/D was dead quiet. I like the magnaflow, but it is still too quiet for me at times. I like the exhaust b/c it is louder then the D/D, and i can convert it to CME, but; the issue i face is i seem to drive the car @ higher RPMS just to hear "that rumble". I'm thinking with a e-cutout i can have the best of both worlds, quiet for when i want it, louder when i want it. My car has stock exhaust mani's and cats.

Stealth Shift Light - Basically i want to know whem my car is REALLY @ 5K rpms, not when my lazy tach decides to tell me. i don't go WOT all the time, but enough. I htink this might come back to kick me in the ***; i wonder if i would end up going to 5K more just to see my light light up.

So what do you guys think?

Id get the shift light, b/c I had a E cutout and it sounds cool but the longer you have it the less and less you will see yourself using it and also the electric valve doesnt seal 100% on pretty much all of them so when you floor it I could notice an exaust leak sounding noise even when its closed. IMO id get a normal cutout or a shiftlight, or anyother idea would be to save up to get something more useful, what kinda mods do you have so far?

Get 'em both (I do) and you will have the best of both worlds..............
might as well throw in a line lock while you're at it

Never heard that, at least not DMH's cutout. Maybe qtp since they have all sorts of problems but my car sits for 6months during winter time and my cutout works fine.

I would say go for the shift light.... had cut outs and didn't really use them. Had electric and got tired of it sealing when it wanted to... making my an exhaust leak, which sounded horrible. Bought another ORY and put dual manual cut outs, started getting old having to crawl under the car everytime to uncap them or reinstall the caps. Now I just have a TSP ORY with NO cut outs..... and a Raptor shift light. Dont get me wrong cut outs are nice.... if you can stand them. But with my person experience I didn't like them.

Well some people are fine im just saying, qtp doesnt have jack **** for a warranty like dmh's 4yr no questions asked one does and qtps are known for past issues. I would say just do a search but yea.. that doesnt work lol

If your cutout wouldn't close all the way either its because it was hitting something or your cutout was just...bad. Everyone I know with cutouts love them.

People with the cutouts saying they didnt seal.. how can you even hear an exhaust leak over your exhaust, unless you have stock exhaust? With headers, y pipe and a catback, no way in hell can i hear any slim exhaust leak. I vote cutout, i love causing havoc through the neighborhood when its open

one question... why would you set it at 5k rpms... You're making power till at least 5800, and no need to shift till 6k.
