Id go with the G8. Its the most practical of all the cars you listed (beside the SRT8) and seeing how you have already had one LS based car you know how easy the mods are going to be and how easy they are to come by. The SRT8 is still "new" and doesnt have as much of an aftermarket as the LS based cars.
I wouldnt get the GTO as the trunk space is VERY small considering the size of the car.

If you're going to get a Vette get a 2006 C6 with the A6. I also own a slightly modded 300C SRT8 and I love it but I would love to have a G8 with the A6. The A6 is such an awesome trans, IMHO. It's holding up perfect in my 480rwhp C6 btw.
I voted G8
For the record, I have outrun a C5, bolt-on 02 SS M6 (my car with my wife driving the 300) and an S281 ....while driving the 300SRT8. CAI/tune and they will run in the 12's @ 111-113. Fun cars.
I would still take the G8 though.

I'd like to thank everyone for voting and giving their valuable opinions. I looked at the G8 GT's but the dealers I talked to in southern WI and northern IL didn't seem too motivated to sell. The dealers that had 06 GTO's were worse, wanting $20-21k-ish for cars with mileage of 20-30,000.
My friend bought an 06 6spd GTO in March for $17,900 with less than 18,000 mi.
It came down to paying $1k-2k over FMV for a G8 or GTO, or paying $2k under FMV for a low mile 06 SRT8 300c. I ended up buying the SRT8 for $23k with every option, dvd nav, rear dvd, bluetooth, 13 speaker audio w 10"kicker sub, sunroof etc. The 300 interior still smells new and only has 11,600 mi.
Also, the G8 GT's in my price range of $24k max were strippers with cloth in my price range and no sunroof. I'm still gonna miss my Z28.

Great buy. The 300 SRT8 looks amazing and so does the Jeep SRT8 and they both have good motors. More than enough power with them to move those big cars down teh road.
You cant buy cars that dealers are looking to sell.

Congrats man! Welcome to the club.
Now grab a Diablo/AFE CAI/ 180 T-stat (they run HOT) and the car will feel sooo much better. They don't even hold WOT on the upshift, as you know by now.![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
Shoot me a PM for a cheap place to buy it all.
Now PICS! Here is mine.....ah, my wife's.

I see you went with the Wells Engberg hand controls, the only way to go!
I am also in a chair, 24 years.
I have to ask what type of chair you are using? I may have something you would be interested in, FREE.
Just need to get some details from you.
PM Me.
By the way, nice car, perfect color!
Bill
