this just proves my theory once again that it is cheaper to buy from a dealer now adays. people that sell a car like this are selling because they have to due to finances. they dont want to let go of the car they love so they ask way too much for it. on the otherhand. dealers are buying up alot of repo and trade in cars at auctions have alot of inventory on hand and people arent getting a loan as much as they use to. i walked in to a dealer with cash and paid 6.5 grand for a 98 formy with under 85k on it. i thnk i got a sweet deal. i like the fact that it had NOT ONE MOD also.
that ebay listing is funny in more ways than one

I wonder if he realizes he knows nothing about cars? a .30 over 350 is a ****** 355, not 383. Not to mention the fact that he thinks the car is worth a penny over 10k.

hahaha drove my 98 t/a home for 3900 bucks, local guy just sold a 00 just like it for 11.5k. I don't understand the mentality of these people looking to spend 5 digits on a 10 year old beat up used car!
I mean, I love my T/A.....but I think it was Darnell who said "you can't polish a turd".
I'm pretty sure the whole POINT of these cars was cheap fun!

Even if the guy is trying to sell it for more then what we think its worth, it doesnt make it ok to curse at him. His punishment will be not selling the car and wasting money trying to sell it (ebay is expensive!). The person asking the question is completely out of line.
If you dont like the price, move on.

....but come on...$18K for a freakin' LT1 car? with over 100K on it? 11.5:1 WITH 8PSI of boost? owned by a guy that thinks a .030" over 350 is a 383?....seriously? this guy needs a reality check big time...not to mention his buy it now is $22K....

Man I'm usually typically all for people minding their own business when it comes to commenting on high prices as well, but this guy has to be on crack. His answer was great but man, you've gotta be high asking that much for that car.

I personally like the profanity that ebay allows users i guess to post in their question and answer. And seems to me that the guy posted his listing with the amount of how many drugs he just got confiscated from his house the other day.
was a nice car at somepoint in its life. and yeah this economy does suck where its at at the moment.
