i need help
However, I think your problem lies with a bad radiator cap. Drive someone elses car to a parts store and replace it. It does not need to be the pretty plastic covered one from GM. Just get the one that's recommended from the guy at the counter. If that's not it your radiator must be cracked, so let's hope it's the cap.
would help if we knew what kind of car, engine, year.
once up to temp there is a good deal of preasure in the radiator, if the cap can't hold the preasure it lets it flow into the overflow tank...filling it and spilling over.
had it happen on my LT1, which needs a cap rated to 18psi i think. which is higher than most caps, so make sure you get the right one.

Is it overflowing from the cap or is your overflow line not hooked up and its flowing from there? When the coolant is hot some goes into the overflow tank then as it cools it is pulled back into the radiator. If its from the cap then most likley you just need a new cap dont waste your money on a new radiator just yet.
