Really bad gas mileage?

unburned fuel makes me think that its either a bad O2 or possibly even a fried valve. if it's running rich as hell then it must be the O2 sensors. id check that if i were you.

that sucks man i know my car went from around 18 city to like 9 awhile ago i took it to jiffy lube and got the fuel system serviced and now im back to my normal 26 mpg highway are 18-20 city i only use premium gas but it still was dirty after awhile and a couple revs when i just started the car up in the morning fucked the fuel system up. i dont think u got the same problem but hey it worked for me

run it dry, put in a gallon and run it dry and see how many miles you get. Could be a bad guage.

I figured it out. Alternator was taking a ****. I replaced it and the car feels 100x better. My battery was getting drained out from running the car without charging right and probably not getting strong enough spark.

I had an alternator go out before. In my case it just died quickly so it was easier to determine that as the problem.

Yea man, those electrical Gremlins will get you everytime. That is weird that you didn't notice your lights or gauges acting up though. Im glad you got it fixed !!

typically you notice either your volt gauge is really fluctuating with your blinkers or system on (how i noticed it on my old truck) or your headlights look really dim. i agree though they usually go out pretty quickly when it happens to be that time.

all 3 times that my alternator died on me in my truck, i noticed right away.... as they said, guages started jumping like crazy
