CTS-V or TBSS for sure. I want a TBSS myself one day for the (one day) wife to drive.

Not sure about you, but if I had kids and was buying another car it WOULD be 4 door.
N-F-W am I moving up a seat to put one or both in and then putting the seat back EVERY SINGLE TIME. Its not just the PITA part of it, but say if your leaving a restaurant and its pouring outside...it will be a helluva a lot easier to put them in with 4 doors instead of two and be less wet IMO.

g8 FIREHAWK!! lol joking. but does run 12.1 but out of spending limit..

my order would be g8, cobra, gto(ls2), cts-v.. Come on guys and of course a CAMARO OR FIREBIRD since he drives a Mustang It may not have 400 hp stock but with a 25k budget you can buy one/ get it to 400 hp with a few mods and have PLENTY OF MONEY LEFT OVER!!

Ahh, don't tempt me ... I've had two E320's and loved them, except when they broke down , too stressful every trip to the mechanic $300-$400 every few months .. I promised myself next MB or BMW has to be CPO or brand new, lol... I want a muscle car... dam that E55 looks nice, lol...

That was my idea of the SRt8 Jeep (the trailblazer is not an option for me, I don't like them)... but reading over on the other forums, they'll take the vette off the line, but once you hit 50-60, the vette zooms right by you

I agree a Z28 02-03 would be nice, I love them, but I think with my budget I can get something a little different.. (I've had 2 Z28's and a camaro over the years, so I do LOVE them , hence why I am on this board, lol)....thats a whole other topic, lol...

Anyone that has the CTS-V how is the fit and finish? That's competition for an M3, I would imagine, but with a nice LS based V8...

EDIT

Damn, this Z28 is really nice though, lol... nice price

#1 2004-2006 Caddy CTS-V
#2 2004-2006 GTO
#3 G8 GT I think the GXP would be out of your 25k price range.

That's just the first one I found...remember, a lot of the high end cars are pretty cheap right now! I'm thinking you'd be surprised what you could find if you looked around! Who wouldn't want 493hp in a sleeper 4 door??? But yea...CPO is really the way to go with one of those.

As for the CTS-V...great car as long as you're cool with a 6 speed and don't plan on too many hard launches!

Having driven all those cars that you mentioned. The SRT-8 is the best in a close 2nd would be the vettes. But for 25k you might be able to pick a vette but have no chance at a SRT8. For the amount of money your looking at and having kids your best options in order are CTS-V, TBSS, GTO. The GTO has a lot of backseat room suprisingly, in return the trunk is small. All of them can be made to extremely fast for a fair price. The STI's are nice but pricey on the mods. Like i said having driven all them the Cobra would be last.

CTS V - either L76 6.0 361 hp or LS3 6.2 and 415 hp!..

Looks like the G8 and the cadillac have the same engine and hp, just sounds like an old person's car... "a cadillac"? lol.. Is it going to fall apart like the old cadillac cimarions or the catera? LOL...

That sucks... the srt 8 chargers are under $30K with the 400 and change hp... arggh
cts v's either had a ls6, ls2 or lsa

I say go for a nice pontiac firehawk then stick a 427 in there and you will be a happy camper. Or go with a cts-v with the ls3 and you will also be a happy camper. I mean come on it cadillac- pretty nice cars imo.

My choices?
1-G8 GT. Fits in your budget, readily available, excellent ratings, and easily modded for more power.

2-TBSS. Not the best SUV out there, but certainly one of the fastest!

3-CTS-V. Only put it third because the latest one is so much of an improvement. Still, easy to mod and readily available.

Not sure where you're getting your info from but the (first year)'04 CTS-V got the 405hp LS6, and the 05-07 CTS-V got the 400hp LS2.
Go test drive one, you won't want to even get back in the mustang.

for 25K i would look into just getting a WS6 or an SS. for 25k grand you probably can find one in the classified section with a blower and still low miles i bet.

G8 GT with no miles, bone stock, mint condition for your situation. It has more room than you'll believe in the car and in the trunk. My brother's went 13.5 at 102.9 bone stock with a few hundred miles on it. CAI and a tune and they can hit 12s. I'd personally go with Stryker Blue.

the man has a point, i always forget about this car but you cant compete one for 25k. the kit alone costs like 20k if i remember right and you still need a doner vette for the chassis and driveline.

It's not a Vette Driveline..well the Engine is LS but you can use just about any LS. The Transaxle is a Porche one I believe.

I don't exactly know about the Frame..

Since you already shot down the TBSS option, next on my list would be a G8 then a CTS-V if I was in the same situation.

The kit is full frame, interior, and body. Some assembly required.
Kits starting at $19,900. Batteries not included.
