Default curiousity on power...

Just out of curiousity, I know my car is consistant down the drag strip, but sometimes when I mash on the gas from a stop I can spin them all the way to second, other times I can mash on the gas and barley get a squeek. (automatic) It doesnt seem to matter if im on blacktop or concrete really... has anyone else noticed this?

Yes, when I have a full tank of gas I get much better traction. Start paying attention to your gas gage when you're doing dead stop launches and see if you notice a pattern.

Also, ground and air temp make a big difference. If it's night time with cool temps and a cold ground, you'll spin them much easier than at the height of daytime heating with warm pavement and warm air.

What he said. Try the 1/2 tank first

you can try leaving more in the tank first, but might as well buy a good tire, go back to 1/4 tank and then really knock down some 60' times

Tons of variables.

Weight on/over the wheels.
Surface composition
OAT
Surface temp
Tire temp
