exhaust budget, this good?
I'm on somewhat of a budget to get a full exhaust system
On my 97 GTP i had the loudmouth setup and was quite happy with them.
I'm looking at them for my 00 t/a as well. They are a good price and stainless steel (which i need being in the northeast) I have listened to sound clips and read a lot.. but how are the power gains, and are they really that raspy? I'm okay with them being loud, attention is fine by me.
Also, will this system bolt up to the tsp catted y?
and the biggest question.. what is the difference between LM1 and LM2 catback?

I'm not sure if the TSP catted y-pipe will match up or not.
The LM1 & LM2 have a 2.75" connection that is meant to match up
to the stock y-pipe. If the TSP y-pipe has a 3" outlet, you would
have to modify I-pipe. Is shouldn't be that hard though.
The LM1 & LM2 kits are pretty much the same exhaust. The only
difference is the bullet style muffler used. The LM1 is really just a
straight through resonator. It has no baffles or fiberglass packing.
The LM2 however has fiberglass packing. So the exhaust has more
of a tone to it & it is a little bit quieter.
Because of the straight through design & 3" mandrel bent piping
both kits flow extremely well & make great power.
Both kits will be raspy if you delete the cat converters. If you plan
to do that in the future, you should probably pick a different exhaust.
Hope this helps.

that the exhaust tone is what you are wanting. Some poeple love the sound
of the LM1 & some poeple hate it.
The LM2 is one of the louder exhausts. I bought it once & I got tired of it
after about 4 days. But if you want something loud you would probably be
happy with it.
The LM2 isn't really what I would describe as low or deep. More of a medium
tone to me. Your best bet is to listen to a ton of clips from the 2 websites
I mentioned above. So that you know for sure that you are getting the
sound that you want.
LOL, I've changed exhausts 3 times. I now have Corsa.

LM1 is louder than LM2. But everyone as a different opinion about them. But I know for a fact that the LM1 has some drone and rasp to it. Now if you go with headers and catted Y or ORY then it still will be raspy and have drone to it and may be worser than before but everyone has their opinion. It has good quality but as the old saying goes you get what you pay for. An in saying that once you get a LM and if you swap it out for a higher quality system then you will notice the difference. But also the LM's are the the best sounding to me at idle and WOT but other than that it's no good IMO. I've had a LM1 before on stock manifolds with no cats wouldn't do it again.
