Sorry about the car. It can be replaced or fixed. Your life on the other hand can't be.

You still have hope!!!! I had somebody run a red light and pull right out in front of me and I hit hig at about 50. It looked a lot like yours. Well, I was there when the adjuster looked at it, and the first thing he asked me as the mileage and year. When I told him it was a 98 with 100K, he just flat out said, "Im sorry to tell you this, but I don't think there is any way this car won't come out totalled." He and Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, TX figured an estimate of $8000 to fix it and they valued my car at 7K. Long story short... I asked for him to give me a list of everything needed, and I asked for an appearance allowance just low enough for the estimate to stay under it being "totalled". Luckily, I was able to get all my parts off here, craigslist, ebay, junk yards, and a couple from the dealer with only about $200 out of my pocket. (Including an SS hood!) So don't give up!!! Just talk to them and see what you can do!! Worst case scenario: BUY IT BACK!

Well talked to the body shop today they said it would be a coin toss on totaling it. Atleast it wasnt a deffinate total yet. Mean while i found a frc vette in my area i may be interested in.

emo 200 for the tick and speed bleeder. If they total it and allan dont buy it from me.

well, it is your dream car, but if it were me i guess i would hope it would be totaled, its only gonna hurt resale if it isnt totaled because a lot of people dont want something that has been a coin toss if it was gonna be totaled. i hope it turns out the way you want. good luck

i am glad that you are okay..sucks that your dream ride isnt..i can only imagine how you feel..i wuld def try to buy it back and if you cant fix it part her out to other worthy cars..if its not totalled make sure you get the RIGHT BODY shop to go over the entire car..and like somebody said earlier, see if YOU can come up with the right parts on your own and see if they wont total it..that way..lotta times if you provide your own parts its a **** ton cheaper and therefore lower the cost of the repair job

Well got the word they totaled it today. Havent got a buy back price yet still waiting on that. I do have a serious buyer at a local speed shop who is wanting to buy the whole car. So i wont even have to part it out. Well let the hunt begin on a c5 in my price range.

dam man, glad your ok. Like everyone says, lives arent replaceable, but vehicles are. I built my old truck from COMPLETELY stock with 78k miles on it. I got T-boned and they said the frame was tweaked (from when I whipped around and hit a pole cuz the dumb bitch was speeding, it wasnt terrible, but spring perch's were thrashed) if I coulda found a clean titled cab I woulda chucked the bed and bought it back.

Sometimes things happen like this that you REALLY wish didnt so you can make better out of the outcome. Sadly I lost my truck and have to start over with a bone stock T/A..... SADLY... and I got back on 2 wheels which is my passion.

Chin up man, things will work out, your alive to live another day

Well it can always be fixed. I fixed mine with a bent front frame rails, and blown air bags. As long as your ok that is what matters. You can't be replaced.
