You have the option to buy it back . I really am wishing i would of mine. I could of got mine back for 2100.00. The only reoson i didnt because i found a c5 in my price range and need to have a down payment big enough to make my monthly payments affordable.

yes you have the right to buy your car back and it sounds like with the parts you put on it you'll end up loosing out unless you do, now also remember to get tax, title and license fees out of them also your intitled to it.

I hate reading threads like this scares the hell outta me... I have a question can i insure my car for more than what it books for? How much will my insurance go up if i claimed all the parts that are on the car... trans, rear, motor, turbo, ect...????

I have state farm....

I just dont wanna have someone run into me or somthing and have $16,000 in my car and only get what it books for!

************************************************** *
OP sorry about the thread hijack, lol...

I would deffinetally but it back, part it out you will make alot more in the long run, or just keep the parts that are salvageable!

See this is the nonsense that made me mad with Geico and to the person who asked how they screwed me this is to you too...

I paid 9k for my v6 Camaro with low miles in near mint condition. At the time blue book was about 11.5 for one in as good of condition as mine... I pay the state taxes on this car, at 9k bucks....right?? 1 year later, my cars booking at around 9.2 no biggy lost a little value, but I can live with it, I get run over in a parking lot, no biggy I have full coverage...

Geico offers me 3k for my car.... its a 2002... and they wont fix it its "totaled"

I turn them down, they come back with 4k, I turn t hem down and have my car appraised.

Appraiser puts the value of my car at 8200 being "modest" with it.

They come back with what they tell me is their final offer of 6450 minus my 1k deductible 5450 minus my buyback fee 4400.

So that's about 2000 less then what its worth being conservative and the cheapest one in town as a replacement is a 2000 with 165k miles and a bare bones model with power nothing and they want 7600 for it with bad paint.

Now they wont accept my appraiser and my appraiser wont get back with me on this like he was paid off or something...... SO NOW I have to find another appraiser..... Anyone care to do this for me? I really can't afford to pay much if any money as then it really wouldn't be worth even doing because of the money I'm expecting more from the insurance is about 1500 bucks...still less then its worth but what I'm willing to settle for...

((ps anyone think they are trying to wait until my value goes down?? NADA is 7400))
