i was looking at a 6.0 GTO, but i really dont like the interior. period.
so im now looking at a ls-6 or ls-2 CTS-v.
why is the EPA rating for the 5.7 worse than a 6.0 ?

There is a forum dedicated to the CTS-V. I'm sure the sticky's and the threads there would have all the information you could ever want. Here is the link if you don't want to search for it.

CST-V is the way to go if you want luxury and performance.
The GTO would be a good choice too, though it doesn't offer as much luxury *or* performance as a CTS-V. But you don't like them, and I don't blame you. So it looks like Cadillac is the make for you.

Since you are a Ford guy have you looked at the late 90's Lincoln Mark VIII LSC or is that getting too old of a model for you? A little searching can get a nice low mileage example still even today. They run pretty strong and luxury is the word!

love the V but dont expect a drag car. the V handles damn good for such a heavy car and brakes are one of the best out there and has all the amenities. Only downfall is the wheel hop which destroys diffs but you learn to drive around it. Just dont expect to build a 10 second car easily but the diff thing is overrated, people talk like its the end of the world but you have to learn to drive the car. V is the best car I have ever had and would take a lot for me to get rid of it.

I can see exactly what the OP means about the interior. The GTO interior is made of nice quality materials, but the design is rather boring, overly euro, and not nearly as cockpit-like as what you'd find in a Corvette or F-body.

True. I like the GTO interior myself but I agree it could be more cockpit-like.

Your prefer the CTSVs interior over the GTOs? weird to me it was immediatly evident that the CTS' interior was made/designed in america whereas the GTOs was not. I used to get my GTO serviced at a joint GM dealership and the salespeople and service people i talked to also seemed to agree that the GTOs interior was better. But hey everyone has personal preferences.
ALso for your next luxury car have you considered some non LSx powered cars? Just because it Doesnt have an LS motor doesnt mean its not fast or has no potential

to each his own, everyone has there own opinions if he doesnt like the interior of a GTO you cant talk him into it. I dont see anything special about a GTO's interior but some do. Same goes for a G8 kind of boring IMO. only way to decide is to test drive each and then figure out what you want, everyone can talk but its up to your personal opinion.

my current car is a killer. ported 4v with big turbo = all the car i need.
for daily driving i need LUXURY. im not going to drag it or mod it.
acura's have a wimpy v6
lexus's look stupid
lincolns are small. and lack performance
infinity's look dumb
GTO's lack refinement and luxury i wany at my age.
i want a quiet ride. reasonable handling. great performance. great seating.
an old lincoln is an old lincoln. no thanks.
no SUV
great looks
either a CTS-v or an STS-v is on my short list. V8 power is the least i can stand with the performance im used to.
my current car hangs with a full bolt-on LS-2 GTO with only one intake valve open(b heads) and only 10 psi. and walks away with a 4 valves running at 16 psi. my car has all weight reductions. 2900lbs. manual steering, manual brakes. ive had it with a race car on the street.
