I've got a Hurst and the first unit got burned out, but that was with that wiring kit you can get with it. The unit was replaced for free and we redid the wiring properly and it's worked for years. Since that first problem, I haven't had any. I don't think there was anything wrong with the first one but who ever wired it the first time caused it to burn up.

slp is a bolt on and go,no fabrication..its made with all the bends in the tubes etc for a stock install..the other ones need tube bending and possibly tube flareing for the nut..problem is if you bend or flair the end wrong youl have a leak and or a crimp in the tube.thus means you gotta go find the tubeing and or nut that fits the setup, wich in tuns cost more money..back in the day this is how the universal locks was..what a coincident, last night i was looking for a line lock and found the slp one on jegs...its $160 for the kit..
btw the sjm kit is also a bolt on kit,not sure on hurs or others..
