Default Need a little help newbie!!

I am in the process of buying a ford mustang with a370 inch Lq9 motor and 317 heads has victor jr. in take with elbo all fuel injected kooks headers crower rods, diamond pistons slp balancer 42lb injectors ported 317 heads with patriot sprngs. I really don't know anything about these motors any and all input would help thanks.

basicly are these good motors, do they make good power dependable, any problems to watch out for, what would this motor come stock in

they are dependable motors, as are any gm ls series motor is. what makes it different from the rest is that its an iron block, rather then the ls motors which are aluminum. There are goods and bads about that, most people say they are stronger then aluminum (while others argue that a well built aluminum block is just as good). And that they are roughly 75lbs heavier because they are iron. they have flat top pistons rather then the dished pistons (in the lq4) so most people use these blocks for n/a motors where people use the lq4's for boost. Those motors are usually found in escalades and the 3500 series vans (i think). and im sure there are some other vehicles that have them. there are no problems i can think of, gm makes a good motor.

ok thanks it made 440 to the rear wheels on motor and 620 on 250hp nitrous, what would be the estimated cost to build this motor any idea

if the motor was purchased at a wrecker for like 800 like places i have found it id say the guy had about 5k in the motor depending on how much it was for labor to build the motor and port the heads
