I have Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8's by will Handzel. It is pretty informative and has alot of good tips and suggestions, with pretty good step by step- even a complete engine build with 500HP receipe. The only thing I don't like about it is they put way too much emphisis on LS6 parts. This is a great book if you are looking to build a great LSx with GM and SLP part numbers, but I would like to see something with more aftermarket information. This is a must have book, but it shouldn't be your only one.

Also, I have a stack of SA and Cartech books. I consider them "additional reading" to go wtih tech and other internet sites -they have alot more facts and alot less opinions.
