Default Will a 2000 Camaro gauge cluster work in my 98 Ta

I am wanting to change out my gauge cluster, on my Ta bc it shows 240XXXX miles on the od!! bc it was took out of a wreaked car bc the one in my car shorted out!! I picked up a 2000 Camaro gauge cluster and was wondering what I needed to do to make it work!! I know the pins are diff on the bk.. but the plug in for the miles and od gauge is diff!!! Wondering if i took the old plug off and wired it up the same as it is on the old cluster if it would work??? they both have 9 wires and look the same all is diff is the size of the plug!! If anyone has done this lmk or if you have any info...

The 2000 won't work cause it's digital, you will need a 1998 one, that one is still Analog..

I'm not sure if you can use any others, but I know 1998 is a year that things were one of a kind.

Not talking about the display fellas..ya the miles are digital but that is still an Analog Gauge Cluster..a 1999-up uses the Serial Data wire for like 4 different things..it will not work. You will need a 1998 one.
