I cannot figure this out for the life of me. Its not coming from the front suspension as I once thought. Seems to be coming from the center of the car. It makes horrible noises when coming to a stop and when taking off. Please help.....

i really wouldn't think so. your sure it's not the upper strut mount? only other thing i can think of in the center would be the torque arm mount.

If it is a tranny mount, you are gonna know when you get after it.

Sounds more like frt suspension. Jack the car up by the k-member and put a pry bar under the tire and lift, see what is loose or moving, do this for both sides.

you're pressing down on the top of the strut tower right? look into the front suspension. a tranny mount you can usually tell (more easily if your an M6 with the movement of the shifter) by rocking the car back and forth while it's in gear.. if you're an auto.. you'd probably have to take it apart to see if it's shot to hell. It's really not too hard of a job, just keep a jack under the trans when you do it.
