LS Suggestions... Hello I am currently looking into building an LS series motor for a mid engine kit car. The kit car will weigh under 2000 lbs without motor and driver. The idea of the car is for high speed competions like the silver state classic, And high speed runs at Las vegas speedway and Fontana Speedway.
Now the questions.
I would like this car to produce close to or over 1,000 reliable turbo'ed horsepower. If more is possible that would be great.
What is a good starting point for the block, internals, etc.?
What would be the best heads to use?
AS for forced induction, what is the best way to go? Turbo, centrifical supercharger, or the newer style roots that are on the ZR1. What type of intercooler is the best? Also what would be the best wastegate for this application?
What is the best intake to use?
Do they make a standalone computer that is easily programmable and modified from the drivers seat?

thats a lottta info your asking for and i am SURE there are guys here who can help you get what you want..my suggestion is to determine a budget and talk to the SITE SPONSORS..these guys build engines and fuel systems for a living.. and going fast is bad *** dont get me wrong but SUSPENSION and braking are KEY elements as well...JMO...

The suspension is taken care of fully adjustable independent suspension with custom coilovers. the brakes are 14 inch six piston ceramic brakes front and rear. The budget for the motor depends on alot. but the budget is going to have to be fairly large for the horsepower that is going to be needed. Remeber this car is going to be very similar to the ultima GTR or the Factory Five GTM. The funny thing is with the speed of the potential car the suspension isn't as important as the arodynamics.
