let me to b the first one to go against the tide lol i am also 17 and plan on owning a ls1 ws6 within the next year however i cant afford it now.. i recently purchased a 1990 k5 blazer with a 6in lift on 35s for 5500 my dad co signed and i had 2000 to put down i pay 88 a month for payment and 240 every three months for insurrace full coverage i work at skyling chili as its my last year in school i pull a lil over 300 a month.. now being a lt1 car it will prob b more in insurance however it may b possible i would look into insurance b4 anything...

i dont even think a bank will give you a loan under 18 because its a legal binding contract. also in an lt1 or ls1 f-body your going to spend atleast $200 a month on gas alone (depending on how far you drive) i bought my 98 trans am when i was 17 in high school, but then again i had saved $5000 before i bought it and sold my other car for $3000, my parents let me pay off the other $1500 to them. i was able to afford it because i was making $650-850 a month working longer hours and on a job with commission.
