Both cars are really nice, big Benzs are just straight up ballin rides. Everyone has a Vette IMO but after driving one I see why.
Have you looked at CTS-Vs? $30k max price hmm...used Viper? SRT10??

I like Bimmers over Benz any day, say an M5 or whatever you're looking for. And I'm more partial to Infiniti but only for the reason of having to do the maintenance myself (I dont work on German cars!), and Infiniti doesnt make anything in the "AMG class"
But thats at my age. If I had that choice at 22, I would go C6, even a base C6 would have more potential than a C5 Z06.
You basically are chosing between a classy car thats sporty and can still be a weekend racer and perfect for daily driving or a sports car that is flat out fun to drive and take to the track but can be annoying for daily driving (speed bumps, bad weather, carrying a bunch of friends or gear, comfort)
But this is just a opinion based thread anyway, do what you want you rich brat!

But I do have some serious issues with having to worry about maintenance..so i will probably end up dishing less money to get a vette or big blower cobra..I used to be a proud cobra owner untill some douch totalled it by running a red light
Time will tell i still have about 6 months till a purchase is actually made.

Not the best on reliability, due to electrical issues, more expensive to work on.
Pure Fun and gettin what you paid for = C5 or C6 vette or as some said CTS-V(my personal choice out of the 3).
