Difference in 98 year model LS1s
Hey i couldnt find anything in a search, but im looking at picking up another LS1 car maybe. Its a 98 Trans-am WS6 A4. Ive heard of the 98s being the bitch year. What all is different. I know the heads and valve covers are different, ecu, something about the transmission, i think they have steel driveshafts,a dn the gas tank and fuel pump. Anything else?

'98's have steel gas tanks. You can get the aluminum driveshaft in them depending what handleing package is in it. They may take a little more time to tune, but thats nothing. They are just as easy to work with as the other years, unless you are retarded. '98's have no black boxes to record crash data. All of this can be found in 2 seconds by searching. But here is you answer:

It is clean, but its not low mileage. Its got 200k on it, but it looks just as good as my 80k Z28. Im not going to mod it. Maybe a set of headers and tune will be as far as it goes. Its most likely going to be the girl friends car.
