Time for an oil change...
#21
Ive had personal bad experience with fram oil filters more than once, on my friends 2.8L V6 jeep comanche...chevy engine..EXACT same engine as in some S10's i believe....We beat the **** out of this motor, literally, and it started right up everytime. One time we started it and we heard CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK....lost all oil pressure, took off the fram filter and voila, we had oil pressure. The dummy put another fram filter on it and it did happen one more time till it finally seized up from us putting it through hell.
Some fram filters might be ok but i know the ones he had was junk....plus just look at the inside, who the hell wants cardboard in their oil filter? or a bent piece of metal rather than an actual spring like other filters?
Seems like alot of people posting dont know what theyre talking about with oil except for a minor few....
Read this and you'll look at oil in a whole different view....this guy knows his stuff.

I made the switch yesterday to mobil 0w-30, it was the same price as fully synthetic so i figured i'd give it a shot...spun on a wix filter....pretty much the same as any oil....lubricates...holds pressure....no leaks....yup....
