Default How do i get my car to shift at higher rmp

I was looking at getting my car to shift at about 6500 rmp, is a hand held tuner the only way of changing the rev limiter?

If you don't have a cam that carries power that high and upgraded springs it will only cause you to run slower and induce valve float........ The stock cam is dead by 6K.

SOMbitch is correct. Look at a dyno chart. The power begins to drop off at 6k.
