Default Hello all, quick question.

Hi new guy here, i've had my 99 z28 for over a year now and have since installed some pacesetter headers and magnaflow exhaust.

I am picking up some 02 sims shortly and an ls6 intake mani this weekend. The guy is asking 500 and that seems a bit steep because i have seen them go for 300. should i buy it or tell him ill give him 300. he said Throttle body as well but do i even need it?

$500 is way too much even with a throttle body

Not a difference in them.. there is between years of cars though. I'd make sure that the throttle body you were about to buy (that you don't need) would be compatible with your car.

Thanks for the info, it is off of an 2000 firebird so ill look around to find out if it is compatible. I called the guy up and he wanted 500 because he has oem GM gaskets for it which i don't think are worth the 140$ he said he paid so i offered him 250$ and ill buy some fel-pros.

Its seems that 300 is the going rate, you might find it for a little more or little less. As far as the TB goes im pretty sure that the 98-99's had a different one then the 00-02. And just FYI you can get a BRAND NEW LS6 manifold for around 460

I would just F this D-bag and find one somewhere else. A gasket set is less than $30. I wouldn't deal with him even if he came down just on the principle that he tried screw you over..... You can prolly find another here or on ebay in 5 minutes.... And just use your TB.
