Default New F body

Ok, I just picked up my new dd and took it to the track.

2002 F/B Forumla A4, only mod is corsa cat back.

Three runs 13.7, 13.71, 13.716, all 60 ft times were just over 2.06. MPH is 103 every time.

I left at 2K RPM for each launch.

Now I have the baseline, I have some go fast parts, but need to know if I can really make this a 10.5 daily driver.

Car has 72K miles.

I have Tubular suspension for front and rear, I know the front will save some serious weight and the rear will get rid of wheel hop, but after that should I put N20 or STS. Alos have longtubes, and can do heads, intake and cam. Have to keep A/C as I live in St Louis, MO.

What will a stahl do to my driveability and I want to keep the current gears, unless I swapp to a 6L80. Or should I just swap in a ls3 to start.

Any input would be appreciated.

It is possible to have a 10.5 DD but you will need a good engine especially if you are planing to run nitrous or STS so i will go forge internals pistons, rods and crank. To get to a 10.5 DD you are looking at a 150+ shot or 10lbs+ of boost that is why you need a good engine your current engine can hold a few shots of nos but is like a time bomb! so how often are you planing to use it? Thant being said you will need good heads, cam, intake, all bolts on, a good transmission, converter and different gears!! at the end you will have a 500+RWHP FORMULA!!

Guys correct me if I'm wrong!!

Thanks for the feedback. I plan on this being my daily driver and a weekend warrior. I also like to drive the twistys so I can't modify my suspension to be totally straight line performance. Anyone in the St Louis area have an A4 that has a converter that would give me a ride.

I am not a STS fan and would spend the extra to do a front mount turbo if it were me.

The easiest way to a 10.5 DD car is a H/C/I with a little giggle juice. You can do it on a stock bottom but forged will be almost bulletproof and the way to go if it is in your budget.... BTW what is your budget.... I have a friend running budget heads & 90/90 full boltons 383 running high 10's no no2. Better heads and he would be right where youwant to be. This is a full weight car with not even the jack removed.....
