Question Can a standard hose clamp be used inside a fuel tank (Quick Help Please)

(Mods, not getting any views in the fuel section and need some quick advice)

I damaged the fuel supply hose clamp that comes with the Racetronix Performance Fuel Pump kit for my '98 Camaro SS (Metal Tank), and would like to use a standard screw-on hose clamp as a replacement. Are there any reasons why I shouldn't use one (i.e. rust/contamination)? I would rather not have to wait for a replacement from Racetronix, and also pay another $13 shipping fee.

Thanks in advance...

BTW, this is an amazing kit! (just don't destroy the clamp, or lose that tiny lock washer)

I would use fuel hose clamps.
