High mileage ls1 question
I just bought a ws6 with 150 k on motor and I have fixed all major problems but this " what is the first to go on this motor? Heads, bottom end???? I have a strong feelin the top end needs some work so I am looking for the most dependent, reliable and costless suggestions... The motor will be replaced eventually for now I want 400 to 450 to the tire any ideas?

Full boltons then heads and cam. Or you could spray it. Mine has 150,000 miles on it and it runs fine, uses no oil, no rattles, knocks etc.. Seen one guy on here with like 252,000 on his. The motors are tough. Somebody else will chime in with more helpful info.

I just had a buddy blow a hole in the side of his block you could stick your fist thru - heads, cam, intake car 136k on the ticker.
The key part to how long an engine will last imo depends on how well it was maintained and how hard the previous owners beat on it.

put 10w40 reg oil in it and start the mods man! min has 213,800 on the original motor and i just started the mods. Ls6 intake headers and a lid is a great way to get started and will def wake her up. are u a4 or m6?
