Um my first reaction was "f'in awesome!". I had to wait a few days on the tune which sucked .

Its a lot of fun to sit at a light and the car shakes (solid mm).

I still have the 10bolt and its been working fine for now...

never rode in a cammed car ever..my cam is the MTI X1 230/227. It drives very much like stock seriously.. its so civil. but it did suck when the tune wasnt dialed in. as long as your tune is perfect you shouldnt have a problem driving any cammed car.

Glad you guys like them so much I have my new 228/232 cam installed and I have been cruising it around nice and easy because I got a new clutch too that I need to break in as well, and its not tuned yet.

Anyway I havent been able to get on it yet but it doesnt feel much faster than it used to be before the cam. Hopefully it'll really be a change wheen I can finally get on it but so far at under 4k rpm its not knocking my socks off at part throttle.

I'll report back within the week when I get it back from tuning.

First impressions:

Started the car and heard the cam lope (headers + ORY + cutout partially open) -- I was absolutely thrilled.

Hopped in the car and was surprised how well the "seat of the pants" dyno responded. First time I got it up in the band good and the tires just started peeling away was a pretty neat feeling.

After seeing how cool it was to get such a big jump in power, heads + ported FAST 92 followed very shortly thereafter. When that wasn't enough I slapped on a N2O kit. It's addicting to say the least!

After a couple years, it still hasn't gotten old. It's awesome to find that strip of highway where you can let it run!

Still on a 10 bolt with 3.90's right now however I try to be smart about things (don't do a bunch of dig racing on drag radials).

I've had my torquer 2 in my car for about three months now....I love it, very happy with the results. Having 3.73s put in next week and then I'll get a dyno tune.

Both of our cars are cammed on stock rears. 231/237, 6 speed in one, and mine was a 234/230, 4k stall, 3.73s.

LOL that's awesome!
I always have my GF start my car while I stand outside to see how it really sounds!
I sometimes let her drive it down an empty road by my house while I stand out side and watch it drive up and down the road. Cuz I mean you never really see what you've got until you actually see it driving for your self.

I said "damn, I need bigger gears, it feels like a land speed record car"
2.73s, a 3800 stall and a decent h/c combo is an interesting combo for sure

So it doesnt feel much faster because youre afraid to get on it without getting a tune done first? It should feel faster, I know mine did even without a tune. Sounded better & would break the tires loose pretty easy. Youre gonna want to get it over 4K before you notice a difference though. Thats usually where the powerband starts to kick in.
