I had the idea that the site could use a list of all interchangable parts inbetween Camaros and Trans Ams from 1993-2002. That way, you can know if you need to pull something off a car at a scrap yard or are buying parts from a parted out car, you can know that theres more options then just your specific model.

So, i'll throw a few up, and if anyone else knows any more, post them up and i'll edit the original post with all the parts that will interchange between models. Also, feel free to correct me if any of these are incorrect.

Note: Not all parts will look the same, but will still interchange

Any motor part
Any transmission part
Rear differential and all components of rear end
gas tank
hood hinges
hood latch
front air dam
Some suspension parts? (someone chime in on this one)
Shifting assembly(auto-auto, manual-manual)
seats
t-tops (i think?)
wheels
sideview mirror mounting brackets
sail panel (i think?)

I know theres more but I can't think of all of them right now, so feel free to chime in.

I would think it'd be easier to list the parts that WILL NOT interchange between the two.

Body panels
Some interior pieces (dash and door panels)
Side view mirrors
Headlights and headlight motor assembly
Taillights
Fog/Parking lights

That's about it I think, otherwise they're the same car.

all true except for the interior. you can put a TA interior in a camaro no problem.

I think he was talking about replacement vents and little odds and ends like that. Sure you can pull the whole interior our and switch it over, but a T/A vent wont fit a Camaro. But the door panels will fit, you just need the WHOLE door panel to make the swap. Because the switch assemble on the T/A is a different shape then on a Camaro

And this thread is pretty common sense, just by looking at the parts you can tell if it is interchangeable. Which someone already said is pretty much EVERYTHING on the car minus a few cosmetic pieces, but since there the same chassis pretty much anything minus a few cosmetic pieces will fit either or
