What all do i need with this cam?
So i believe i have finally decided that i want to go with the tsp torquer v.2 cam for my 99 camaro ss. I was wondering what all i needed with it? ik the springs and pushrods and basics like that, but i was wondering what size stall i would need, injectors, etc. Also i was wondering if i was takin a risk by putting a cam in a high mileage car. It just it 155k the other day, but it still runs like a champ, and im not driving it daily anymore. Wondering if there was anybody else out there who have done cam swaps in high mileage cars with no problems. Any input would be helpful. thanks!

I honestly would be more worried about the 155k trans and a stall more then the motor with a new cam. I honestly think that a TR228 or TR230 or 228r would be better cams then the V2. Typically, you can do well with a 3200 converter, but a 3600 or 4k would be better I would also suggest some injectors although not 100% necessary I believe they are a good investment bc the stockers are really only meant for stock IMO. You will need a new oil pump and timing set on a motor with that high of mileage. You will also need some pushrods, likely 7.40s but I would measure just to make sure. For springs look at some Lunati, Patriot or PRC duals, however, depending on the cam, you may be able to run beehives and I would choose the PAC 1518s.
