Default New motor lacks oil pressure

I'll make this short and sweet. 2002 Z06 with a 406 LS2 Stroker transplant with modified LS2 pump and stock LS6 heads/intake/TB. I just got the motor to crank but since it's so late and I dont plan on moving out of my neighborhood anytime soon I have to wait till tomorrow for breakin. After about 6 few second cranks i'm only noticing the oil pressure gauge flutter a little at 0 psi. It makes since to me that it will take a little while for the oil pressure to build up to where the sensor is but I wanted to check with everyone first before I go ahead with running it longer. Oh, I forgot to mention it is running the STS twins in the back and has to pump the 1/2 oil lines back there from the pressure stem right above the filter.

With the pump being mechanical I dont see how the pressure could be inexistent for very long but I have heard of some strange situations of it cloging with build lube. And yes the sensor is plugged in.

Thanks for the advice and your own experiences.

It will take longer than 6 seconds to build pressure.

Good to go! I gave it about 10 and it purked right up. Thanks!
