Some people have no choice, but that doesn't explain all of this...

Every single year. My Camaro is my only car so my options are pretty limited. However, when fitted with snow tires it gets through everything I can throw at it.

for 7 years ive driven a v6 96 camaro it was my only car and i made a daily drive of about 40 miles one way everyday to college and made it everyday in snow sleet slush whatever with no wrecks. I just got my 00 z28 last fall and fixed it up through the winter. ive been driving it all summer and for the past 20 days its been through snow and sleet. its been good so far with the all season tires i have from kumho but not as easy to drive as the v6 in the snow.

I drove mine in a few inches of snow on unplowed streets. No snow tires or added weight, just good all-seasons. It's fine as long as you go slow and plan your route to avoid hills. If you feel the back start to step out, get off the gas and it straightens back up. Give yourself plenty of stopping distance.

Everyone on here says to buy a cheap beater for the winter, but I disagree... sure you can buy some POS for a grand but then you have to pay insurance every month, property tax once a year, and pay for it when it breaks (and it will if it's a $1,000 car).

Not to mention it's rather fun to do donuts in an unplowed parking lot at work while all the customers look at you like you're a maniac.

OMG LMAO!!

It's just a giant clump of dirty *** snow stuck to the wheel arch. I had another clump on the other side as well. I imagine it got on there from the snow donuts.

I drove my M5 V6 Camaro for more than 8 years in the snow and rarely got stuck. I never used weight in the back but I always bought quality A/S tires. The only problem was when there were ruts in the road and it would high center, so I got use to driving with one side in the rut, one side on the snow. Manual cars are also easier to drive in the snow than autos IMO.

One thing I suggest is that you wash it weekly. When I got rid of mine it was rust free.

I wish it only got 65* here, I'm not a fan of cold weather at all.

I park my Trans Am and Bike soon as it starts to get below freezing. I have a Toyota Camry with 254k miles that takes me to and from work everyday. I've put too much time and money into my car to let rock salt, chemicals, and bad driver's take a toll on her.

Been driving my Firebird in the snow for 5 or 6 years now. I keep a shovel, 3 bags of cat litter, tub of salt, and keep my friends numbers handy just in case

Up here in Maine you can't avoid hills though, so i just travel at unsafe speeds to get up giant hills, you get use to it. I also have to blow red lights all the time if we're having a blizzard cause almost all lights are on hills and all season tires don't get up them unless you have momentum.

Been daily driving 4th gens for 14 years now. I never had a problem in the snow until last week until I slid and hit a curb and cracked my rim. It could of been alot worse. I usually don't drive in the snow though but i got caught
