It's also stamped and covered with a translucent blue tape under the weather stripping on the passenger side windshield pillar. Same on a seam under the rear bumper cover where two body panels come together.
Also on the drivers side of the transmission, and the rear drivers side corner of the engine block. They are all stamped dot matrix style in these locations.

Good responses. Due to theft the VINs are posted on every important part of the car. This applies to most modern cars, not just sports or muscle cars. Often they are called 'hidden' VINs for obvious reasons.
