I dont mind winter at all! Its 6 months of Wrenching on the car i get! all the **** that still is fine but is not "right" i get to fix, cause you try and not have to much downtime in the summer, maybe 5-6 months of no snow. Since right now is a cool -33 degrees C outside along with 4 feet of snow, gives me lots of time sitting in the garage wrenching, watching hockey and drinking beer!

I'd love to drive mine, but It's still down from the cam swap. Also the snow covered roads don't help my motivation.

im central PA myself. winter sucks but at the sametime im glad it comes around. nothing to do here in the winter thats car related.
Florida is nothing but heaven's waiting room and you have hurricanes and old people to deal with. California you have earthquakes. when i was younger i was in Arizona when it was 110+ 3 days in a row, HELL WITH THAT!!! think ill stay here in PA and deal with what little snow we get 3-4 months a year

3 weeks, if you don't count the fact i moved it from one side of the garage to the other, i haven't driven mine in about 8 weeks.

as for florida, i'm now seriously considering ft myers/naples as there is a really good deal on a duplex i found down there

http://fortmyers.craigslist.org/lee/apa/2156283124.html

i've been looking at apartments up here for about $150 more a month than that and they are 1 bedrooms with a detatched 1 car garage.

well i've gotta move anyway since my dad passed away and we are selling the house i'm living in. at this point i really don't have a lot keeping me in nw indiana. i have one or 2 friends here that i see every few weeks but they are living in their parents house as well so it's not like they will be here long term. The thought of spending $700+ a month to rent an apartment here in nw indiana kind of disgusts me, especially when i can apparently move back to a less crowded area in FL and be able to have a nice duplex with a garage for BOTH of my cars (i'll be taking the trans am and the mustang down there)

I really HATE the winters up here.

The earthquakes are nothing to think about in California. I've been here over 15 years and haven't felt one yet because they're so insignificant. The major drawback to California is the cost of living and the anti-car culture when it comes to 'modding cars newer than the year 23 A.D....

Wow..I was out there for 4 years in the Military and I sure as hell felt one. I believe it was in 99 out in 29 palms when the 7.2 (give or take) earthquake hit. I was out there at the time, and that was some bullshit.. Never want to go thru that again.

I feel your pain and I live in Atlanta! I'm so sick of the cold (relative) weather!

All that money on sticky tires and it doesn't do a da*n bit of good on cold pavement!

You do have a point about the wildfires though. I mean, the first time around, when half of California almost burned to the ground it was bad enough. But when the second time came around, it seemed that much worse because we as a state did jack to prepare for it. Christ-I remember driving to work and watching both sides of the freeway I was driving on burning...that was right out of a goddamn movie...

Yeah, it's starting to get to me too. I've got a bunch of stuff sitting in the basement to install (muffler/tips, shocks, speakers, other dumb stuff) and it's too cold to do it right now. I'm finding myself trying to find dumb, unnecessary stuff that I can do inside, like polishing my headlights/taillights (even though they're not really cloudy) and I'm thinking about redoing the foam in my seats, just for S&G's.

I sure hope you like the Canucks because the Oilers and Flames are going nowhere fast, or is that why you are drinking?

i gotta get outa here, this whole winter thing is driving me nuts. the only thing i have to look forward to now is that i found out one of my favorite bands is doing warped tour this year. Other than that, i'm kind of bummed out about everything else. I really need to figure out where to move and how i'm gonna support myself in the future once money runs out.
