Well I am biased since I have a LS2 403 stroker

The 346 LS1 is most commonly stroked to 383cid. Tons of configurations when you look at all the LSx stuff. Go search internal and you will learn a lot....

I had a 382 stroker in my previous 2000 Z28...it was a blast. The 402s are even better with the larger bore, but a well set-up 382 can make 500+rwhp and 480+rwtq. The broad/flat tq "curve" is way fun on the street...at the expense of tires.

the 3.9 bore can be stroked to a 382 or 396 depending on a 4" or 4.1" stroke.

The 4.0 bore is where its at though because of better head choices.

Hardly anybody does a 396 though because there can be issues with the piston coming so far out of the hole...

Thumbs up

I have heard of 390's being built with the LQ4/9(6.0L) with a 4.03 bore & 3.825 stroke.

Others use the stock crank(3.622) and a 4.03 for a 370 cid non-stroker.

$$$ talks.

When you push the stroke to the limits then you are pushing the limits of ring spacing on the pistons. You could have issues with oil consumption. Best that you talk to a reputable builder to keep you on track.
