01 ls1 engine rebuild, suggestions? hi im rob and i have a salvaged 01 ls1. i had the block tested and is good to go. i want to rebuild the engine using the stock crank, stock displacement with the magic stick 4 111lsa cam by Texas speed and performance. over all goal is to achieve as much hp and torque while maintaining streetibility and using pump gas around a stock crankshaft, stock con rods, the ms4 cam, stock heads ( maybe some mild head work, just milled 10 or so) upgraded pistons, lifters, push rods, and valve train with a ls6 intake manifold.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
again i am not that brand specific so if there is a better cam out there than the ms4 by tsp i will def take it all into consideration. this is all just part of the re-search aspect. additionally it will be back by either a tko series tranny or t56, and the over all goal is a pro-touring 72 ls1 camaro. thanks again.
