Yeah it does. My 98 V6 was getting eaten alive by the rust.

I feel your pain. My car goes through this every year.

From This:

To This:

I good coat of wax before winter and a good detail in the spring has kept it rust free since I've owned it. Sadly, the undercarriage is a different story. As others have said, rust is starting to eat away at my floor boards. I've sealed them, but I'm not expecting that to be a permanent fix.

I love New Hampshire...

You must live somewhere near me, I pass by you often and have been wondering who would DD such a clean SS in the winter around here. Luckily my car sleeps in the garage all winter...although now its in a million pieces for the turbo build so it may be dormant in the garage part of the summer too depending on my ambition level, lol.

ugh... I try to forget about those little bastards. just when I get them good and out of my mind, their greasy asses smear my windsheild as an unwelcome in your face reminder that no, they didn't all suddenly become extinct. they just go sleep for a couple of months and when you least expect it, BAM! all over your freshly washed bumper

The good part about the salt mod is that cops don't seem to notice my bright red TA as much.

After about 3 months of owning my 99, a blizzard came through TN on a sunday night and I was about 3 hours away from home. I had to drive it back the next day and the highway I was driving on looked like a beach...for 3 hours. I was pissed. My bright red car was now almost completely white. If I wanted a white car, I would have bought one. I wish I would DD my 85 in the winter but I never had to drive in the snow much.

Get under that puppy with a power washer in the spring! I'm still waiting on a few good HEAVY rain storms before the baby comes out from her hibernation..... SO hard to wait! And I agree about the plow drivers, saw a truck laying salt last night in 35 deg dry weather....

Glad I had a winter car. I live in Dallas and a few weeks ago when the weather was bad we drove the 98 Accord and ended up with a busted headlight and a cracked windshield from one outing. Trucks slinging ice and salt chunks up on the car.
