Ls parts interchange Hello all,
I have a early year LS1 in a non ls car and the part where the starter bolts to the bock broke off.I want to replace the whole block but most likely it will be with a 5.3 or 6.0. are the items on the LS1 interchangeable with the other 2 motors such as intake,motor mount plates,water pump etc.....?

they are identical, go with a 6.0 block if you can get ahold of one. the only "mod" depending on which block you get, will be drilling and tapping a hole for the alt bracket
