what is this????? i was looking around my engine bay and was cleaning it up. When i took the oil fill cap off i discovered a yellow substance in the cap and in the fill tube. jw if anyone has had this before or knows what it is???

Color is from the oil/water mix.

Do ya make lots of short trips where it doesn't get up to operating temperature?

Hi,i would suggest driving several miles on the road..heat cycle.
Change oil and filter and include some longer runs and check to see if this helps with problem.good luck.........have a blessed week......jim

^ x 5 But it is normal. That is the coolest point of the "internal" section. It condensates easily.
Clean the cap and neck, and add some mileage and/or RPM to your driving style.
