Default Need help from someone with a 4th gen camaro/firebird

I'm trying to order an alt bracket from my dealer (in Canada) but they need to order it from a USA dealer and in order to do that they need a VIN (just the last 8 digits)

It's for my swap so i dont have a VIN.

Could someone please give me the last 8 digits of their VIN from their 98-02 camaro/firebird with an LS1

BIG thanks! (pm me if you dont want to post it in public)

You can just put one together using this. If you need the last 8, you could use 22100001 it looks like, that would be for the first car to roll out of the plant in 2002.

why do they need a VIN??? are part numbers not universal?? a GM is a GM. They should be able to look up the part number for the part and then order it. there is a part number list in the stickies, if you would like to look for it yourself, then order it yourself from gmpartsdirect or partstaxi or any other OEM parts supplier. I doubt anyone will provide someone they do not know (especially on the web) the last 8 numbers of the VIN of their Pride and Joy considering those are the most important digits that can provide access to personal information to the ownership of said vehicle.

because they have to order it from another dealer on a rush order or "car down" type of thing... may be hard to understand if you're not in the field but i understand why it's required (we have the same type of deal at volkswagen) but on the other hand i know it's going to be hard to find someone to hand over their vin

And when someone on these forums wants $150 for a used alt bracket and i can get one brand new for $32 id like to order the new one
