That's just it. YOU wouldn't pay that. But YOU don't represent the entire population.

Looking at this from another perspective, I paid $30k for a brand new WS6 in 2000. Then I drove it, and later sold it for much less. This is really no different than buying one of these cars new ~10 years ago, just without the warranty.
