There IS a way to do it. My friend did it to his '94 Firebird. It extended the range to a few hundred feet. We were about 6 houses down a standard neighborhood and it still worked. I'm looking for what it was he bought right now. I think it's made by Audiovox as part of their alarm systems. You solder an antenna extender on to two points on the BCM and you're done. I'll see what I can find; but it IS possible and I HAVE seen it done in person. Best part: the wire you use was only $20 or so.

pending results. mine works half the time. i cleaned the contacts and sometime it works. new battery was installed as well. maybe the fob is bad. but i can resync to the car and it works immediately????
